Commonly used in delivery plants, the pneumatic forklift or pallet vehicle, may be used to transfer materials that are placed onto pallets. A pneumatic forklift commonly has a set of steel blades installed on a wheeled counterweight that also has a pump. The pump is used to elevate and lower the blades.
Visually check the pallet vehicle before loading. Make sure the wheels are free of any likely obstructions. Additionally, make sure the handle moves smoothly and turns properly. Inspect the pallet prior to moving it to assess if it is stacked in a manner that minimizes the chance of anything falling off during lifting. Release any air in the pump and drop the forks to the floor by squeezing the handle installed on the inside of the steel ring on the end of the lever. Run the blades into the slots in the pallet and ensure the forks are centered so that the palletsâ?? weight is evenly distributed.
By pumping the pneumatic lift handle the forks will rise from the floor. Once there is full clearance, you can discontinue pumping as there is no need to elevate the jack anymore. To move the pallet lift, you may tow the handle behind you. It is not recommended to push the pallet vehicle. There will be a huge amount of momentum present. Refrain from quick or sharp turns and don't stop too swiftly. Gently bring the pallet to a halt wherever you would like to park it. Squeeze the handle inside the grip end to restore the forks to the ground. Withdraw the forks from the pallet and return the pallet vehicle to its designated parking spot.
